ok so...
ok, i have confirmation from 3 sources -- the old gal who escaped from the second story unit actually SET the fire herself. she's now in jail. evidently she has a history of mental illness.
it's funny because i intentionally didn't take any pictures of her. i felt like i'd be exploiting her in her hour of pain and loss. this has taught me again to NEVER assume anything in san francisco. almost nothing is as it first seems.
