interesting carsharing stat...

on a canadian carsharing newsletter today, i spotted this interesting statistic...

according to the CAA (the Canadian equivalent of the AAA):

• owning and driving an average car an average number of miles per year = $8,000 a year, $670 a month, $154 weekly, $22 a day... 
• owning but NOT driving the same car = $6,800, $567 a month, or $19 a day, just to let it sit in the driveway...

i can't even imagine how much driving i'd have to do on my City Carshare account (or any of my carshare Roaming accounts, for that matter) to spend $19 a day!
