for years stupid pop stars have been remaking great classics and by remaking i mean PISSING ALL OVER THEM (dixie chicks version of "landslide", i'm looking right at you!)
i have to say i've enjoyed my own recently-heightened awareness to people returning the favor. when shirley bassey covered p!nk's "get the party started" i about crapped myself.



for giggles, check out how many covers of christina aguillera's "what a girl wants" there are sometime :) and don't forget to search for "una mujer" since christina earned the rolling Rs in her last name and also released the song in español... the "smooth jazz" version is really, uh... something special. can someone get iron and wine to do a version. pleeeeease!
